Sheer Khurma

Sheer Khurma, Dessert, Vermicelli, Traditional Dessert
Ingredients:
- ½ Cup Ghee
- 2 Tbsp Boiled Pistachios (Sliced Cut)
- ½ Cup Vermicelli (Crushed)
- ¼ Cup Water
- 1 Litre Milk
- ½ Cup Sugar or As Desired
- 7-8 Dates (Iranian and pitted)
Instructions:
1. Heat ghee in a deep pan over medium heat. Add sliced almonds and pistachios, and sauté until they turn golden brown.
2. In the same pan, add crushed vermicelli and sauté until it turns golden brown.
3. Add 1/4 cup of water to the vermicelli, and cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat until the vermicelli softens.
4. Add 1 litre of milk to the pan and bring it to a boil.
5. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vermicelli is fully cooked.
6. Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the pan and stir until it dissolves.
7. Add pitted dates to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
8. Turn off the heat and let it cool down for a few minutes.
9. Garnish with sautéed almonds and pistachios.
