Matar Pulao

Matar Pulao, Matar, Pulao, Biryani
Ingredients:
- ½ Cup Oil
- 1 Medium Onion Sliced
- 2 tbsp Black Cumin Seed
- 2 tbsp Cardamom
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 ½ Tbsp Chili Flakes
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 Chicken Cube
- ½ Cup Yogurt
- 1 Cup Peas
- ½ Kg Rice
- Water (As Required)
- Food Color (Optional)
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and stir.
- Add the black cumin seeds and cardamom and fry for a few seconds.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and fry until fragrant.
- Add the sliced tomatoes, chili flakes, salt, and chicken cube. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the yogurt and peas and stir well.
- Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Stir gently to mix everything together.
- Add enough water to cover the rice by about an inch. Stir gently again.
- Cover the pot and let the rice cook over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked through.
- If desired, add a few drops of food color to the rice and mix gently.
- Serve hot with your favorite curry or raita. Enjoy!
