Hyderabadi Dahi Baray
Hyderabadi Dahi Baray, a delicious and refreshing snack that's perfect for iftar during Ramzan
Dahi Baray, Ramzan Special Dish, Spicy Dahi Baray
Ingredients:
- For Bhallay:
- 300 Gram Gram Flour
- 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1½ Tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Tsp Coriander (Crushed)
- Salt To Taste
- 2 pinches Baking Soda
- 1 Glass Water
- 1 Tbsp Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
- Cooking Oil For Frying
- For Yogurt:
- ½ Kg Yogurt
- ½ Tsp Red Chili Powder
- Salt To Taste
- ½ Tsp Chaat Masala
- 1 Tsp Green Chili (Crushed)
- 1 Cup Water
- For Tadka:
- 3-4 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Tbsp Cumin
- 1 Tsp Mustard seeds
- 12-12 Curry Leaves
- 7-8 Whole Red Chili
Instructions:
Prepare Bhallay:
1. Add gram flour, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, crushed coriander, Salt, baking soda, and chopped coriander in a bowl.
2. Gradually add water, whisk well & beat well for 4-5 minutes.
3. In a deep pan, heat cooking oil, pour the batter with the help of spoon and fry on medium flame until golden.
4. In a bowl, add lukewarm water, fried baray and let them soak for 6-8 minutes then take out from water and squeeze gently to remove excess water.
Prepare Yogurt Mixture:
5. Add yogurt, red chili powder, salt, chaat masala, crushed green chili, and whisk well in a bowl.
6. Add water, whisk well
7. In a serving dish, add prepared baray & pour prepared yogurt mixture.
Prepare Tadka:
8. In a small frying pan, add cooking oil & heat it.
9. Add cumin, mustard seeds, round red chilies & mix well.
10. Add curry leaves & mix well.
11. Pour prepared tadka on dahi baray & serve!
