Teacher And staff Deny Food To Special Needs Student

In April 2021 a serious case of a 5-year-old special needs boy surfaced which jolted all people for his supposed caretakers, the teacher at school and staff did a heinous act of isolating him. Worldwide teachers are kept on a high pedestal for their service to humanity. The US already is facing issues of gun control, school shooting, and low pay scale for teachers. Yet, an episode like this smears the school system terribly.

Melody LaPointe, 47, and teaching assistants Tarah Tinney, 33, and Augusta Costlow, 27, were charged for keeping the boy in isolation that he ended up eating his feces and consuming his urine. 

The episode occurred in Texas within a Liberty Independent School District facility.

Melody the main accused has been placed on leave while she had already moved to another school. While Tinney and Costlow have resigned. The matter was reported to 

Child Protective Services and a comprehensive investigation were started. A district spokesperson said,

"Based upon our investigation, we reported the educators to the State Board for Educator Certification and shared our results with law enforcement officials," the spokesperson added.
