The Crown has been ruling the screens for the past four seasons. However, the lovers of Diana the princess of hearts as they fondly called her were impatient for her to show up. The character is very well portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki.

However, the team has made a few designers unhappy with their sartorial choices for Diana. The makers never contacted David Sassoon, Diana's wedding trousseau designer, nor Jacques Azagury or Christina Stambolian who were all the main designers for Diana in the 90s.

The trouble is that creating the same look is impossible and art is always interpreted differently by all. Yet, there have been instances where the basic point was missed by the new team, allege the designers of Diana.

The makers of The Crown feel that they wanted to catch the essence of Diana rather than copy-pasting the designs. But the designers claim that a simple consult could have given better insight to the designers for making better clothes.
