Krispy Kreme Celebrates National Doughnut Day with Free Treats
Krispy Kreme, the renowned coffee and doughnut chain, continues its tradition of delighting fans by offering complimentary doughnuts on National Doughnut Day, which falls on Friday, June 2. This annual celebration allows doughnut enthusiasts to enjoy a free doughnut of their choice, with no purchase necessary, from Krispy Kreme locations across the country.

A Legacy Inspired by the Donut Lassies

National Doughnut Day originated in 1938 when The Salvation Army in Chicago declared the first Friday in June as a day to raise funds during The Great Depression. The idea was inspired by the selfless efforts of the "Donut Lassies" — 250 Salvation Army officers who provided essential goods, hot coffee, and freshly-baked doughnuts to soldiers near the front lines during World War I. The humble doughnut symbolized warmth and hope during challenging times. Krispy Kreme, founded in 1937, carries on this legacy of spreading joy through doughnuts and philanthropy.

A Sweet Selection

On this Doughnut Day, customers can choose any doughnut from Krispy Kreme's traditional lineup, which boasts a wide array of flavors. In addition, four beloved limited-edition flavors are making a comeback for the occasion: Banana Pudding, Key Lime Pie, Strawberries & Kreme, and Chocolate Kreme.

Irresistible Deals for Doughnut Enthusiasts

Not only can doughnut enthusiasts enjoy a free treat, but Krispy Kreme is also offering a special deal on their iconic Original Glazed doughnuts. Guests who purchase a dozen doughnuts of any flavor will receive an additional dozen of the Original Glazed doughnuts for only two dollars.

Celebrating Nationwide

National Doughnut Day deals and festivities will be available at all Krispy Kreme stores throughout the country. Customers can conveniently participate through in-store visits, drive-thru service, or online ordering, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the "most awesome doughnuts on the planet" in their preferred manner.
