In a display of opulence and concern for the environment, King Charles showcased his environmentally-friendly side by revealing that his beloved Aston Martin MK ii DB6 Volante runs on a unique fuel derived from surplus English white wine and whey from the cheese-making process. The conversion to this eco-friendly fuel, known as E85, was carried out on his 21st birthday gift, demonstrating the king's commitment to sustainability.

E85 is a blend comprising 85% bioethanol derived from wine waste and cheese whey, with the remaining 15% consisting of unleaded gasoline. Rest assured, the wine used for this purpose is not suitable for human consumption, and the whey is a byproduct of cheese production, ensuring no wastage of these precious commodities.
Converting the luxury car to run on this unconventional fuel was not without challenges, and the Aston Martin team initially expressed concerns about the modification. However, King Charles was determined and insisted on the conversion. Despite initial reservations, the engineers eventually conceded that the car performed even better and had increased power on the E85 fuel compared to traditional petrol.
Moreover, the conversion to this unique fuel had an unexpected benefit. King Charles revealed that the car emits a delightful aroma while being driven, adding a touch of luxury to the already extravagant experience.
With this eco-friendly conversion, King Charles demonstrates his commitment to sustainable practices while indulging in his passion for luxury automobiles.
