Kim Cattrall Just Tolerated On The Sets Of SATC

The ever-so-famous Samantha of Sex and the city has been a character madly loved by all. Not only she was a real feminist but also a girlfriend that everyone wanted. However, all was not well once the shots were over.

Kim Cattrall's Version

A leading publication printed a story in 2017 where the makers of SATC shared how the movie was pulled back a few days before shooting as Kim made demands beyond their possibilities.

This story set the rumor mill abuzz. However, Kim came out and cleared that she had said no to the third movie of Sex and the city a long time back.

In an interview with Piers Morgan she shared "The answer was simply thank you, but no, I'm good. This isn't about more money. It's not about more scenes. It's not about any of those things. This is about a clear decision, an empowered decision in my life to end one chapter and start another… It's a great part. I played it past the finish line and then some, and I loved it."

Sarah Jessica Parker's Version

SJP tried to extend an olive branch despite Kim calling her just a co-actor and not a friend. She sent her condolences when Kim's brother died, but the reaction was not a good one. There were many instances where the reel Carrie tried to be civil with Samantha however, it never cemented into anything nice.

Finally, Parker let go of the feelings and went ahead with the new sequel series And Just Like That without Kim. The character was chalked out of the story by making her move to London while the other girls miss her and talk about her.

So last week when Kim was given the award at the Glamour awards ceremony and said in her speech, “This is what happens when you go where you're celebrated and not where you're tolerated.”
