According to local news networks, during a meeting focused on the transport sector, Minister Memon also revealed plans to launch pink-colored taxis exclusively for female passengers.

The initial phase of the project will see the deployment of over 200 electric taxis, including 50 designated as pink taxis specifically catering to women. The primary objective behind this initiative is to offer convenient and dependable transportation options for women in the city.

Minister Memon emphasized that the launch of a modern, cost-effective, and eco-friendly electric taxi service is not limited to Karachi alone but will be extended to other major cities across the province.

Moreover, in addition to the electric taxi service, Minister Memon unveiled a plan to enhance the public bus service in Karachi by introducing 500 new buses. He also highlighted the Sindh government's efforts to acquire an additional 20 buses by June 15 through the Peoples Bus Service project.

Furthermore, as part of the ongoing expansion of the People's Bus Service, the government has directed the initiation of a new route from Hattri to Kisana Mori in Hyderabad, aimed at further improving public transportation accessibility.
