Dubai Neighborhood Winning Hearts With Free Food

Fatta Kawareh, a restaurant known for traditional Egyptian food in Abu Hail has taken a new emotional step for the passerby to get free food. Dubai is a cosmopolitan city with people from all countries coming and going. However, the working community from South Asian countries lives on a minimum to save and send back home. The manager of this Egyptian restaurant shared his views on why they opted for free food with another publication. The restaurant owners noticed people were walking in and not able to afford the prices. They took a leaf out of their home country, were back in Alexandria they were able to help with free meals. So with the new branch opening up, the staff looks around to see who are the people that might do well with free food.

Atiya Yousef, the manager shared, “The minute we see them outside, we know who they are, and we give them the meals. You see the issue is that sometimes people are embarrassed, but we believe that as a human being you have the right to eat and to live,” he said.

The team at this restaurant is sensitive and they understand how people can feel belittled. therefore, many times they invite the needy ones inside and share the free meal. Atiya added, “We don’t stop them or question them, we truly believe that charity doesn’t decrease money"
