TikTok has become a hotbed for viral food trends in recent years, from the wildly popular baked feta pasta to the indulgent Dirty Soda. These recipes have taken the internet by storm, and have even led to the creation of new food products sold in stores. With over 2.4 million followers, TikTok star Alexis Frost is one of the many food creators who has made a name for herself on the app, and her review of Chipotle's Steak Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies was no exception.

Chipotle Goes Viral

After Frost's rave review of the quesadilla, TikTok user Keith Lee posted a video of himself trying the menu item with a "hack" involving Chipotle-Honey Lime Vinaigrette and sour cream. This video quickly went viral, and Chipotle took notice. Now, the fast food chain is introducing the Fajita Quesadilla to its menu, complete with fresh fajita veggies, Monterey Jack cheese, and a choice of protein.

Menu Expansion Due To Tik Tok

But that's not all. As a nod to the viral TikTok trend, Chipotle is launching two menu items in honor of Lee and Frost. The "Keithadilla" is a Fajita Quesadilla with steak and a side of Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Sour Cream, and Chipotle-Honey Vinaigrette. Meanwhile, Alexis's version features Tomatillo Red-Chili Salsa instead of the Chipotle-Honey Vinaigrette.

Huge Digital Changes

Adding the Fajita Quesadilla to its menu wasn't a small feat for Chipotle. The fast food chain had to update its digital platforms, including Chipotle.com and its mobile app, and train over 100,000 employees across its 3,200 store locations. But with the power of TikTok to influence mainstream food culture, Chipotle's efforts to cater to its fans on the app are likely to pay off in a big way.

This just goes to show the immense impact that social media platforms like TikTok can have on the food industry. From new product creations to menu additions, TikTok has become a driving force behind the latest food trends. And as more and more people turn to social media for recipe inspiration, it's clear that this trend is here to stay.
