Let's admit it ageism for women is a huge issue. No matter what happens men are celebrated for going grey and all old and polished. Women are pushed to look young, plumped with botox trimmed with surgeries with no grey in sight.

However, the next generation is changing this equation. Case in point, Brooke Shields, the sexy siren of yesteryears who now is in the '50s has battled her body issues. The Endless Love star shared about her daughters, “They, in reverse, helped me have [better body image] because I would…I was the hiding one and you know, back out of rooms and just don’t show your curves and it was such a weird thing because my daughters would actually say to me, ‘Mom, you’ve got a body you should just embrace it.’”

The daughters' Rowan Francis, 19, and Grier Hammon, 16, have become preachers of owning the age and body with grace and confidence for Brooke Shields.

As Hollywood is all gloss and fake shine, one tends to get lost and bow down to such fake standards set by someone who wanted to hold the strings forever. But Shields stated, “When your daughter teaches you something like that, and when you’ve been in an industry that I’ve been in forever it really, it just really is unbelievably impacting."

This is a new compass for Brooke Shields to come back to Hollywood with a new lesson of self-love and acceptance of aging with grace and confidence.
